Peterborough have allowed striker Liam Hatch to join Luton on a season-long loan deal.

The 27-year-old joined Posh for £150,000 in January 2008 but scored just twice for the club and spent most of last season on loan at League Two side Darlington.

After being placed on the transfer list he has joined the newly relegated Hatters on loan with a view to a permanent transfer.

Director of football Barry Fry told the club's official website: "Liam was interesting a dozen clubs and I think it just goes to show that Luton are desperate to only stay out of the Football League for one season.

"Hopefully it will be a move to benefit all parties."
