Hearts manager Csaba Laszlo insists he will not jeopardise his relationship with majority shareholder Vladimir Romanov in a bid to recruit new players.
The Jambos boss is keen to add to his squad over the coming weeks but says he has no plans to put pressure on the Hearts hierarchy.
Ian Black has already been secured after the former Inverness midfielder signed a pre-contract agreement, while Jose Goncalves is set to return from a loan spell at Nurnberg.
Former Scotland and Rangers full-back Maurice Ross has also been linked with a move to Gorgie.
"A lot of people tell me I am now in a position to push Mr Romanov and to push the board but I don't like to push anybody," Laszlo told the Edinburgh Evening News.
"I would like to do the best possible. This is my job. I will still try to give some names to the board. We have four weeks and I hope we will have new players for July 1. Goncalves and Black are two players we have. Now we must look for other players."

Yes, you are quite correct in not antagonising Mr Romanov Csaba - but I think all know how urgently we require a first class striker - you never know we could have finished even higher than third - especially with all the chances we created through the season - yes, a first class striker is a must and you never know it could be two?
