Tue, 05 Jun 10:51:00 2012

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has revealed he is in Turin to complete his transfer to Italian champions Juventus.

Paul Pogba, November 2011, Manchester United - 0

The 19-year-old turned down the offer of a new contract with United and could become Juve's first summer signing.

"I am thinking about my future, I am in Italy with Juventus to discuss my transfer," Pogba wrote on Twitter.

Pogba left Le Havre to join United's youth academy in 2009. He made just three league appearances for the Red Devils last season.

  1. Ferguson has opted not to invest in a strong squad and has retained some cr4p, I don't see Evans, Carrick, Giggs, Fletcher, Anderson and several others offering much next season, far too average or past it and in dire need of replacement. United don't need journeymen, money grabbers or the deluded, they need committed, hungry and tenacious talent and if players like Pogba think that they deserve to be in the squad just because they think they're good they should realise that actions speak louder.

  2. Fergie didn't play him for personal reasons, not because he lacks footballing ability ,who knows ,perhaps if he didn't let his own ego interfere with team selection ,united might have won number 20

  4. yeah it's true. SAF opted to bring Scholdes out of retirement rather than play Pogba so you gotta understand his decision. but honestly, he will find even harder to play in Juventus as they have many midfield options.

  5. dont blame him for wanting to leave. when your manager brings a player out of retirement rather than play you its time to leave

  11. If he was good enough to be put into the team at Utd, he would have been put into the team. I dobt very much if he will be put into the team at Juventus next season, but maybe after another year of learning his trade, he might be. Which is the exact same prospects he has at Utd. I could understand him going to a lesser club, to have better chance of 1st team football, but if he is thinking of his future its a funny route to take that he has chosen. There again, an agent picking up commission on this deal maybe the reason why

  13. Stuart, seriously do some research, Conte was implicated for his time in charge at Siena, not Juventus. Milan, Inter, Napoli, Roma etc. have nothing to do with it, the highest profile detainee was mauri, and he's since been released to house arrest. juventus have no chance of being forcibly evicted from the CL.

  14. Don't think it's a great career move for Pogba, simply because Juventus have the best midfield in Italy, so if he couldn't break into United, he's going to struggle there. With that said, when Phil Jones, a natural cb is preferred in your position to you, it's only natural to question your future at the club. @post 3 Stewart None of the top teams in Italy have been implicated in this match fixing scandal, although Conte and a few big players have been implicated, it was when they worked for other clubs. At worst Juventus will have to find a new manager

  17. this is not a good career move, within the year ITALY,is going to be rocked with allegations of match fixing an corruption, which could see them banned from the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE,theres even talk of banning the national team from international matches, even top teams like juve, may be demoted to there 2nd division,so as career moves go its a big risk
