Luis Aragones was presented as the new Fenerbahce coach, less than a week after leading Spain to victory at Euro 2008.
The Istanbul club had signed a preliminary two-year deal with the 69-year-old during the European championships and Aragones arrived in the city on Thursday.
"I am very happy to be part of Fenerbahce. I am here for Fenerbahce and for success," he said.
Aragones said this week that he left his post as Spain coach because the Spanish Football Federation did not want him to continue after four years in charge. Their Euro 2008 triumph was the country's first major title in 44 years.
The former Atletico Madrid and Barcelona coach replaces Brazilian Zico, who led Fenerbahce to the Champions League quarter-finals but failed to reach a new deal after losing out to city rivals Galatasaray in the domestic title race.
