Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is plotting a football revolution in Europe after calling for the continent's biggest clubs to create a new 'Super League'.
Perez, who returned for a second stint as president of the Spanish giants last month, has embarked on a multi-million spending spree over the past few weeks, signing the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka and Karim Benzema as part of his plan to assemble a new generation of galacticos.
The 62-year-old is now casting his net even wider in his bid to alter the face of European football, and told Spanish television: "We have to agree a new European Super League which guarantees that the best always play the best - something that does not happen in the Champions League."
Perez added, however, that he hoped his proposed format could be implemented "without abandoning the national leagues".

obviously he wants more big games, he's got to pay for those players somehow....and he doesn't want Real to get knocked out by a small team
i think redgeoff needs to steal a dictionary himself then he might be able to spell the word dohhh!
Sounds good really
A euro super league will be the death of football , just look at the crowds at champs lge dead rubbers nuff said
Here we go again. The man with the World's BIGGEST EGO is talking s@#t again! It has NEVER been about the football for him. It is all about Marketing, Capitalism and his self obssesed business interests. Until people like him are not allowed to run clubs things will not change. What ever happened to the 'spirit of the game' and the battle of competition. This clown has made everything about MONEY. What role model is he??? This should be no suprise from Madrid. They have always rapped other clubs for their best players and tried to create in imbalance in football. Shame on you Madrid. Shame on you Perez. I just God above shows you who is the greatest!
stockport county are the spirit of the game ask mcity fans!!!down but never out.
Perez is a megalomaniac fascist nutcase. (Liverpool fans steal a disctionary and find out what it means).Zack p what's Michael Carrick if not a good midfielder and Anderson will be given time to develop. Who knows Hargreaves might even play again next season.!
And Paul Scholes is still better than anyone at L'pool or city and he's on his way to rretirement.
great to way to further the growing dislike for real madrid perez you goon. hope they win nothing.
dirty real, this years CL was about clearly the bests too! There was a Man United-Barca Final! Dont remember? And there was a Real Madrid-Liverpool tie in the best 16 stage! :):):) Dont remember? :) I think, madrid want the new league, bcos they can not win the CL! !!!ANTIMADRIDISTA!!!
"The best will play the best" - and the rest of you can rot in a 2nd rate penniless hell. If it wasn't for Bradford City I would have no interest in football - and BCFC are skint!!!!
I was out of touch for a week and came back for the joke of the year - United actually paid money for an old Liverpudlian geiatric with broken legs? Has the MON fra Scotlan lost his wee mind?
He only said that to try and prove that Real Madrid are better than any other team in Europe which if this happened they would be bottom.
Says currently the most corrupted man in football business.
Real Madrid it seems are not afriad to sign anyone, apart from defenders of course
Sometimes you get a great team with skill and they come up against a lesser team with determination and heart. They make great games sometimes, look at USA leading 2-0 and Brazil pulled out all the stops to get it back 3-2. A hand piched league would finish football.Perez is dangerous to the game.I hope Real fail and I quite liked them before all this.
Ballsdeep can you honestly say that todays self serviing cheating diving conning "plastic" footballers (?) are worth the amount of money being thrown around . ?
i cant imagine a pissed up Best or a decapitated Edwards being worth that much to be honest nice memories tho
What next when Real cannot dominate a super league? a super duper league, for sheer entertainment revert the Champions (?) League back to a straight forward knock out instead of the same boring 8 teams in the 1/4 finals and only the countrys reigning champions take part, then put a cap on spending silly money being used to buy slightly above average players ,Ronaldo £80m !!! what would a Best or Duncan Edwards be worth !
K.R.O
Want an total W$&%@R! Spends the spanish nations money on lining his own pocket buying all the media grabbing players. Then he want his own league. Gready B?&%@#D! Hope you get trashed by Barca at home again next season. Also hope all you Pre-madonna players dont gel together and you go bankrupt. Bet now that Sepp Blatter backs him up too now. I nice to see Platini complain about the money being spent by teams in England, Only to allow Real to spend money that is not even there's on what ever they want.
This @#$% needs his face punching in , just because you have spent the goverments money on new signings , dont get a big head . barcelona are still the best team in spain.
But that's the beauty of football.... That even the weakest team wins sometimes... Nobody gives a @#$% about you Perez..
