Championship - Sturrock: This year will be different

Eurosport - Sun, 05 Jul 15:11:00 2009

Plymouth manager Paul Sturrock has wiped the slate clean following last season's flirt with relegation and insists there will be no excuses for another struggle.

The long-running takeover saga at Home Park is finally over and Sturrock is looking forward to putting the off-field distractions behind him and concentrating on the football.

"Last season really hurt me because it was the first year when I've lost more games than I've won. I don't like that," he told the Herald.

"There were things I did last year that weren`' me - things I had to do because of the situation we were in.

"A lot of things that I bit my lip on would have left blood running down the side of my mouth. I'm making sure that this year none of that will happen."

  1. I'm not a Luggy admirer, but, he is the boss and all I want is a committed performance from a team i was born to love. While Sturrock is in charge I and I hope the rest of the green army will be behind him and the team all the way. Lets just get a season where we are not worrying until the end.

Good luck to all the squad and staff and LETS BRING IT ON!!!!!!

    See you all at selhurst.
