Gary Doherty has encouraged Norwich not to rely on loan deals this season.
The Canaries defender was part of the side relegated to League One last term and saw the Carrow Road outfit bring in 17 different loan players throughout the season.
The 29-year-old former Tottenham man believes that contributed towards their downfall and is hopeful they do not follow a similar path this time around
"We need long-term signings to boost the side's morale," he told BBC Radio Norfolk.
"It was really hard last season with players just coming in for a month or so."
