Boruc happy to stay with Hoops

Tue 05 Aug, 09:30 AM

Poland goalkeeper Artur Boruc insists he is happy at Celtic despite raising his profile with his impressive Euro 2008 displays.Boruc signed a new contract earlier this year which ties him to Celtic until 2011 but that failed to dampen speculation over a big-money move.

Arsenal and AC Milan have been consistently linked with interest in the 28-year-old, but Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti admitted recently he could not afford the keeper.

Boruc said: "There was lots of talk about me leaving in the summer but I'm still here and I'm happy with that.

"It is not a problem for me to stay here and that's what people have to understand.

"There was no point in me changing club for a team that was a similar size to Celtic but one which does not always make the Champions League or have 60,000 fans behind you.

"To me there is no point when I have all that at Celtic. I'm really happy in my football and in my life right now.

"I have a new child and things are settled with my football and that's good.

"The aim for this season is simple - win the title again for the fourth season and then do better in the Champions League."
