Middlesbrough striker Mido has been recalled to the Egypt squad for a friendly against Sudan later this month as he 'looks sharp'.The 25-year-old missed the African Nations Cup in Ghana earlier this year through injury and has not featured for the Pharaohs since.
Coach Hassan Shehata said: "Mido looked sharp in the pre-season. He lost 15kg and works hard with his team (Middlesbrough). I hope he would be ready to play for Egypt."
There was also a place in the squad for Mido's Boro team-mate Mohamed Shawky as well as Wigan's on-loan forward Amr Zaki.
