Relieved Kennedy makes City debut

Tue 05 Aug, 04:15 PM

Defender John Kennedy has spoken of his relief at finally beginning his Norwich career after a long wait for clearance from the Scottish FA.The 24-year-old made his debut in Norwich's final pre-season friendly against Colchester on Saturday.

The Scot is on loan at Carrow Road from Celtic until January after only a handful of games in four years.

"I'm delighted to finally get my Norwich shirt on and get playing - the clearance issue was frustrating, and I've been really looking forward to playing a game here," he told the club's official website.

"I was a bit rusty against Colchester, it's been a while since I've played a full game, but it was good to get it under my belt. That should stand me in good stead for the future."
