Charlton and Leeds maintained their 100 per cent starts in League One by securing their sixth victories of the season.

FOOTBALL 2009-2010 League One Charlton Athletic's Deon Burton celebrates scoring the first goal against Brentford - 0

Goals were in short supply at Carrow Road for the first time this season as Norwich's clash with Walsall finished goalless.

A Terrell Forbes own goal gave Swindon a 1-0 win at Yeovil while Brighton saw off Wycombe by the same scoreline after a 75th-minute goal from Nicky Forster.

  1. Ray it might be a tense game for all you Leeds fans. You dont do that well when the pressure gets on. As a Charlton fan i think all the pressure is on Leeds because everybody wants to beat them. I think a lot of teams have taken there eye off us, which is great from our point of view. Will be a interesting game at Elland Road on the 3rd Oct, when our 2 sides meet.Come on you rip roaring free scoring Addicks.

  5. I watched the televised game on Saturday and was very impressed with Charlton Athletic and Brentford who put on a spectacle worthy of a higher division. Charlton in particular played some very impressive football and i particularly liked the right-back Richardson who looked a premiership player in the making. Brentford also contributed their far share of attractive football, although personally i think Carl Cort has seen his better days, as his poor goalscoring record shows. If they can improve in that area, then they should be challenging for their second succesive promotion. A great advert for football at any level and good luck to both teams. Graham
