Joe Cole put the Blues ahead with a cheeky first-half backheel.

The teams exchanged chances before Didier Drogba put Chelsea 2-0 up during the second half.

Federico Macheda pulled one back for United, bundling the ball home late on, to give the hosts hope.

But it was too late for Sir Alex Ferguson's side in what proved to be a key game in the title shake-up.

Chelsea went on to win the Premier League, with United just behind in second.

Super Blue, kudo's to you mate and to the lad at­ the top going on about the team with the referee's­ it's true look at when Scum came to the bridge the­ season before, how many f**k abouts did the ref not­ pick up on? Also, when we went there, the red cards?­ The f**king about again, you may say Chelsea are­ cheats, we didn't have the most bookings or fouls­ last season. Chelsea Champions 09/10 maybe 10/11­ too.     i don't understand those idiots who said Chelsea­ only deserve 1 point instead of 3.
    Even if Drog's­ goal disallowed, it would still stand at 1-0.
    And mind­ those cry babies, Macheda's goal was a handball­ too!
    its still going to be a Chelsea victory.

  12. what ones forget is that drogba was in a huge offside­ and so chelsea got 3 points in this game instead of­ each getting 1 each and a few games later the same­ happened when a ref awarded chelsea a penalty in the­ last minutes of a 0-0 game and they got another 3­ points there. chelsea got 2 wins gifted to them by the­ refs, there is no team that can beat a team that has­ the refs behind them and awarding goals/penalties when­ they shouldnt be there.
