Judd Trump denied Ronnie O'Sullivan early progression to the semi-finals of the Premier League with a 4-1 victory in Exeter.
The defending champion went a frame behind after a poor safety allowed Trump to compile a 67 break, which he added to with the final decisive red after O'Sullivan had reached 33.
The world number one was level soon after - having been in position to record a maximum break before missing on 49 - when Trump got a kick, allowing him to clear up.
Trump, 20 - who qualified for the tournament by winning the Championship League Snooker - boosted his chances of a play-off place by taking the following three frames for victory.
First a 79 put him ahead then an early 50 run in frame four gave him a two-frame cushion.
A dramatic final contest saw the youngster gain the snookers he needed to come back and clear up - with a brilliant green the highlight of the evening.
