Cesc Fabregas underlined his determination to end Arsenal's trophy drought following the victory over AZ Alkmaar which put Arsene Wenger's side on the brink of the Champions League knockout stages.
Captain Fabregas struck twice in the 4-1 win at the Emirates Stadium last night, with Samir Nasri and Abou Diaby netting the others to put the Gunners one Group H point away from the last 16.
"It's just the beginning of the season, nothing is done, we want to keep going until the end," Fabregas said. "I'll feel it is something special when we win something."
Arsenal have not won a major trophy since 2005, when they landed the FA Cup.
"We want to win and if we win something at the end we will say we had a good year," Fabregas said.
"We can still do better so we'll try to improve in the next few games."

Yes, but please sing into Wengers ear that even though you guys are pulling out the wins, he shouldn't use that as an excuse not to solidify the squad further in January. We are still early in the season and we are loosing players to injury, a deep, experienced squad is needed. Walcott Bendtner, Djourou, Denilson, Clichy all have long term injury...Eduardo, Wilshere, Nasri, Rosicky and Arshavin are fragile and are not 100%, RvP is leading the line alone and i don't see anyone who can lead when he has to rest, Song is the ONLY defensive MidFielder we have and the 2 main center backs are the only capable ones we have, Wenger has stated "people want us to buy, i don't see why" Well Song off to ACN, and lack of faith in Senderos and Silvestre, Clichy, Denilson, Bendtner, Walcott, and Djourou are all long term injuries. Nasri, Rosicky and Eduardo are fragile now...that's a lot to loose for a serious push at trophies...I hope wenger realises that he does need to buy at least 2 players, just in case, esp defensive cover.
Still early as u said fab but i know all things are possible to them that believe
If Arsenal players can avoid getting booked they could win the fair play league. Perhaps not a trophy as such, but a very nice certificate for each player.
am happy to say go gunners go.Fab.varmaren, RVP,and the whole team are fantastic.welldone guys and bow down all foa profesor AW.

Its still too early to say anything but there is finally a good vibe in the squad. When Vieira left the club he took with him not only his leadership, commanding presence and intelligence. The departure and separation of himself and the notable ones such as Bergkamp, Lehmann, Ljungberg, Henry and Pirès to name a few extinguished the X-factor in Arsenal. I believe this is due to Wenger's miscalculation during the transition period. But I think that its now back with the likes of Arshavin, Fàbregas, 'Verminator', RvP and the emerging ones. Wins over at least 2 of the top 3 will bring more grit. X-Factor = Swagger.
He's been sensation since the begining of his career at Arsenal. So it wouldn't be a suprise if he is sucessful as Arsenal captain. he's got all it takes to be great leader, Keep it up, You got no limit. UP GUNNER, for live. ( Damilola From Ife, Osun state Nigeria.)

The young boy is gradually becoming a grown man.
There were some who felt we were putting too much pressure on him when he was named team captain but I think he has carried that extra responsibility admirably and has become a huge inspiration for the whole team!
Vermaleen and Gallas (especially Gallas!) u guys have been awesome this term and i hope injury doesnt take any/both of u...well done guys!
