Caretaker boss Dario Gradi wants to give Crewe's `own players' a chance before exploring the possibility of bringing any more loan players to Gresty Road.
Gradi has already re-instated the likes of Shaun Miller, Luke Murphy, Danny Shelley and Ashley Westwood to his first team and has vowed to continue to promote within the club instead of looking elsewhere.
"Like all managers, I am always looking to improve my team. You never stop doing that but it would take something a bit special for me to do something at the moment," said Gradi, who signed goalkeeper Steve Phillips on loan from Bristol Rovers this week.
"I want to give the players here an opportunity to show what they can do. I thought the bench was strong at Cheltenham. We have Clayton (Donaldson) back with us now, Billy Jones at full-back and Simon Walton and Danny O'Donnell. We also have Harry Worley to call on when he is fit again.
"I took a phone call the other day from a father I know well and he is desperate for his son to come here on loan. I just told him that I want to give my own players a chance."
