Southampton have signed former England schoolboy international Aaron Martin from local non-League side Eastleigh.
The 20-year-old centre-half impressed during a recent trial with Saints and has been handed an 18-month contract by manager Alan Pardew.
"It's a massive step but I'm hoping I can prove myself, get into the first team and push on from there," Martin told Saints' official website.
"It would be unbelievable to play at St Mary's and I can't wait for that to come."

KATIE,,, YOU ARE SO RIGHT,WELL PUT.
Well done Aaron, you can already be proud, im from Sholing and have and will support Saints until i die, if you look at Andy Surman, he didnt want to leave Saints and is having a torrid time of it. Le God stayed when he could have gone to Man U, he is still a God.....learn that the grass is not greener, be good at what you do, enjoy life and be prepared to become the next big thing....dont then think that leaving will give you more
Good luck Pete Wesley
Welcome to Southampton Aaron, show us passion and loyalty, and we will love ya for life - COYR
