Trundle relishing first derby

Thu, 05 Nov 11:19:00 2009

Swansea's Lee Trundle is desperate to be involved in Saturday's grudge match with Cardiff.

The on-loan Bristol City striker previously spent four years with the Swans, scoring 86 goals, but he never got the opportunity to line-up against their bitter rivals.

But, having returned to the club on an initial four-month loan deal, the 33-year-old is hoping manager Paulo Sousa will give him the nod to face Dave Jones' men.

"It's obviously a game that I'm looking forward to," he told Press Association Sport.

"It is the first opportunity I've had come up against them for Swansea and I'm desperate to play.

"I know how much it means to everyone here and I just want to do my bit."
