Mantova five named
Two sporting directors and three young riders have been named for their participation in the Mantova doping investigation.
Sporting directors are Loris Tagliapietra and Mariano Piccoli and riders Andrea Menapace, Enrico Mantovani and Andrea Garardini are now facing bans.
None of the Lampre or BMC riders previously connected with the investigation were named by CONI.
Piccoli raced professionally from 1992 to 2005 and for Lampre between 1999 and 2004.
Menapace, 24, rode for Mantovani Cicli Fontana this year, Mantovani last rode for Cycling Team Trentino-Ballan-Legno Case in 2010 and 22-year-old Garardini was a stagiaire at Miche last season.
CONI also revealed it would be sending a file on Russian Oleksander Grigorenko to the UCI.
Meanwhile, CONI recommended a two-year ban for Danilo Andrenacci, who tested positive for recombinant EPO at the Trofeo Melinda-Val di Non in August.
