Shrewsbury manager Gary Peters issued an apology to the club's fans after a "limp and lethargic" display in the 1-0 defeat to Brentford. The Shrews suffered a third successive defeat due Karleigh Osborne's second-half effort and Peters pulled no punches with the criticism of his side.
"First of all I'd like to apologise to all our supporters for a terrible performance," he said.
"It was very limp and lethargic. I can't understand it. There was not the spirit that we normally show.
"We didn't pass the ball at all well and we didn't keep it when we did manage to attack. We switched from 3-5-2 to 4-4-2 at half-time but that was just as bad.
"It was a tough day for everyone watching, including me, and it wasn't as though we were playing one of the really good teams like MK Dons or Peterborough."
