Ligue 1 Toulouse were knocked out of the French Cup by third division Paris FC, becoming the third top flight side to go out to lower league opposition.
Toulouse, who played this season's preliminary round of the Champions League, lost 2-1 at home.
Fabien Raddas opened the scoring for Paris FC after five minutes, Moussa Sissoko levelled two minutes later but Pape Sarr sealed his team's victory in the 66th.
Among the six Ligue 1 sides playing on Sunday, holders Sochaux advanced to the last-32 with a 2-0 win over amateurs Maubeuge with Moumouni Dagano recording a double.
Karim Benzema scored a hat-trick as Olympique Lyon celebrated the return to action of keeper Gregory Coupet with a 4-0 win over Creteil.
France international Coupet, playing his first official game since he tore a left knee ligament in training just before the opening match of the season, had a quiet evening as his team-mates mastered their third division opponents.
The six-times champions, keen to lift a trophy that has been eluding Lyon since 1973, were leading 3-0 at half-time after Benzema's first two goals in the 15th and 38th minutes and a Juninho strike in the 44th.
Benzema completed his treble with a penalty 10 minutes from time.
Stade Rennes brushed aside third division Martigues 3-0, ending a run of 11 matches without a win in all competitions.
On Saturday, Caen, fourth in Ligue 1, bowed out 3-2 to second division Sedan, who reached the final in 1999 and 2005.
Le Mans needed extra time to overcome amateur fifth division side Selongey, drawn from a town of 2,500 inhabitants in eastern France, who were level at 1-1 after 90 minutes but finally bowed out 3-2 after extra time.
Strasbourg only defeated amateur side Rouen 5-4 on a penalty shoot out, while Nice struggled until the 100th minute before sealing a 2-1 victory over Ligue 2 side Le Havre.
The only two all-Ligue 1 ties were won by both the home teams with Auxerre (pictured) defeating Saint-Etienne 3-2 after extra time and Lorient edging Valenciennes 2-1.
Olympique Marseille captain Lorik Cana and striker Djibril Cisse scored for their side in the 2-0 win over third division Beauvis, while Paris St Germain's Clement Chantome and Sylvain Armand put their side through with a 2-0 victory over fourth division Epinal.
Racing Lens were the first Ligue 1 side to crash out when second division Niort defeated them 1-0 on Friday in the opening match of the last-64 when the elite enter the competition.
- Lyon will now face amateur side Croix-de-Savoie while four all-Ligue 1 clashes emerged from the draw for the last 32.
Olympique Marseille, Racing Strasbourg, Girondins Bordeaux and Lorient will host Monaco, Metz, Le Mans and Stade Rennes respectively.
Holders Sochaux will play at home against second division Montpellier.
The ties will be played on February 3 and 4.
