Babel hoping belief floods back

Wed 06 Feb, 09:30 AM

Ryan Babel has said confidence is currently low at Anfield, but he is hoping the belief will flood back after Saturday's win over Sunderland.Liverpool ended a disappointing sequence of league results with a comfortable 3-0 win over Roy Keane's men and head to Chelsea on Sunday hoping to build on the Anfield display.

"Fortunately we saw off Sunderland on Saturday.

"We are delighted with the win and we have hopefully taken a first step towards regaining confidence, which is a bit low at the moment.

"We haven't been doing well the past few weeks. Our captain Steven Gerrard already said that confidence is a bit low at Liverpool at the moment. I am happy we have returned to winning ways," Babel told the club's website.

Babel is currently away with his Holland team-mates preparing for the friendly with Croatia on Wednesday.
