Colchester defender Pat Baldwin is pushing for a return to the starting line-up on Saturday after completing 75 minutes for the reserves.The centre-half has been sidelined for three weeks with a knee injury, but he came through unscathed as the Us' second-string drew 2-2 with Northampton.

Jamie Guy grabbed both the Us' goals while Teddy Sheringham, Kevin McLeod and Kevin Watson completed 90 minutes.

West Ham youngster Robbie Blackwell, who is at Layer Road on work experience, put in a solid display until he suffered an injury late on.
