Macclesfield manager Ian Brightwell is becoming frustrated by his side's failure to take their chances after the 2-1 defeat against Lincoln. The Silkmen spurned a host of chances before eventually scoring an injury-time consolation goal through Gareth Evans after Dany N'Guessan and Jamie Forrester had netted for the Imps.
Brightwell said: "I'm sick of saying the same thing week in, week out.
"We had 25 attempts on goal and we only scored one. It's simply not acceptable. Then we gifted them two simple goals through costly mistakes and they've put their chances away.
"It's not acceptable we've got to cut out those mistakes. We've got to keep believing in ourselves, keep doing the right things, keep working hard and the goals are bound to come.
"I've told them just what I feel and they know what they've got to do but I've also got to keep their confidence high."
