Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock is this week expected to swoop on former club Sheffield United for out-of-favour striker Danny Webber.Warnock signed Webber, 27, for the Blades from Watford in 2005 and wants to bring the former Manchester United trainee to Selhurst Park when the window for emergency loan deals re-opens on Friday.

"We spoke about Danny before the January deadline, but we haven't talked about terms or agreed anything with him," Warnock told the South London Press.

Hull and Ipswich have also been linked with a move for Webber, who has struggled to hold down a regular first-team place at Bramall Lane this season.
