England v Switzerland (20:00)
Fabio Capello is likely to leave Michael Owen on the bench as Wayne Rooney leads the line with support from midfielders David Bentley, skipper Steven Gerrard, Joe Cole and Ashley Young. Mathew Upson is expected to start alongside Rio Ferdinand at centre-half - just behind holding man Owen Hargreaves - while Wes Brown gets the nod at right-back and Ashley Cole on the left. Micah Richards and Gareth Barry have to make do with places on the bench. David James keeps goal.
Arsenal defender Philippe Senderos will captain Switzerland but injuries to Marco Streller and Alex Frei mean the experienced pair miss out on the trip to Wembley. Journeyman striker Blaise Nkufo is likely to get the nod ahead youngster Eren Derdiyok while coach Kobi Kuhn is set to name a strong midfield containing Hakan Yakin, Tranquillo Barnetta, Gygax, Gokhan Inler and Gelson Fernandes.
Republic of Ireland v Brazil
Damien Duff returns for the Republic after ten months out but Steven Reid misses the game through injury. Andy O'Brien has now retired from international football, so caretaker boss Don Givens's back line will consist of Stephen Kelly, John O'Shea, Richard Dunne and Kevin Kilbane. Robbie Keane will partner Kevin Doyle in attack.
Injuries have deprived Brazil of Alexandre Pato, Kaka and Ronaldinho, so Robinho is likely to partner Luis Fabiano up front. Arsenal's Gilberto takes the captain's armband while Manchester United midfielder Anderson is expected to make only his second start at international level.
Northern Ireland v Bulgaria
Stephen Craigan is free to play for the Northern Irish after Motherwell's Scottish Cup match against Dundee was called off on Tuesday, but the defender is not expecting a place in the starting XI. Instead, Jonny Evans will partner Aaron Hughes in the centre of defence while Damien Johnson returns to the international fold after 11 months out with various injuries.
Aston Villa's Stylian Petrov has pulled out of the Bulgaria squad with concussion and will play no part at Windsor Park but both Tottenham striker Dimitar Berbatov and Manchester City winger Martin Petrov will start.
Wales v Norway
Wales boss John Toshack has a host of absentees to deal with ahead of the Norway game, with skipper Craig Bellamy, Danny Gabbidon, Gareth Bale, David Vaughan and James Collins all out through injury. Chris Gunter is set to win his fourth cap, while Simon Davies will take the captain's armband. Wayne Hennessey is expected to start in goal, but Lewis Price could replace him at half-time.
Aston Villa's John Carew will spearhead Norway's front line while Fulham new boys Erik Nevland and Brede Hangeland are expected to feature. Other Premier League stars John Arne Risse, Morten Gamst Pedersen and Daniel Braaten are also in line to start at the Racecourse Ground.
