SPL clubs Aberdeen and Dundee United face disciplinary action after missiles were thrown at officials and players during their Scottish League Cup semi-final on Tuesday evening.
Referee Iain Brines was targeted by Aberdeen supporters at Tyncastle in Edinburgh for sending off the club's striker Lee Miller shortly after they went 3-1 down.
The game was then halted when Aberdeen goalkeeper Jamie Langfield was subjected to a barrage of objects thrown by Dundee United fans, including a cup of tea.
The Scottish Football Association and Scottish Football League will examine television footage of the game to ascertain whether the clubs deserve to be punished over the incidents.
United won the match 4-1 to progress to the final, where they will face Rangers.
