UEFA Cup - Hutton cup-tied for Spurs

New Tottenham signing Alan Hutton will not be allowed to play in this season's UEFA Cup because his previous club Rangers are now involved in the competition.
Rangers have not played in the UEFA Cup this season but will begin in the last 32 next week after finishing third behind Barcelona and Olympique Lyon in their Champions League group.
Although Scotland defender Hutton, who cost nine million pounds, has not played in the UEFA Cup this season, the European governing body's regulations state that he cannot now be registered by Tottenham, who face Slavia Prague away on February 14th.
The 23-year-old right back has only made one appearance for Spurs so far, playing in the 1-1 draw with Manchester United.
