Premier League - Taylor in clear, Best out for weeks
Newcastle United have confirmed that Ryan Taylor only suffered a minor injury in the 2-1 Premie League win over Aston Villa.

"Fortunately, Ryan Taylor did not sustain a fracture to his lower right leg which was X-rayed on Sunday afternoon," the club said.
"His injury is limited to soft tissue damage for which he is now receiving treatment from the club's medical team."
The wide player had been stretchered off after taking a heavy blow to the knee from Stephen Warnock while assisting Demba Ba's opening goal.
Striker Leon Best, however, is likely to be out for "a number of weeks" with his knee problem, according to the club.
Best limped off after 14 minutes of the game at the Sports Direct Arena and will have a scan on his knee on Tuesday.
His replacement, new signing Papiss Cisse, scored the winner.
Sunday's win moved Newcastle up to fifth in the Premier League, one point behind Chelsea in fourth.

Charlie man,
what's the deal?
Why lower yourself to the standards of the tool.
Why come on here and tell blatant lies.
I invite anybody to read my comment re: Arry.
I just said i think it looks like he's going down that's all. Didn't even comment on our game. As a matter of fact, if he goes down then i think it would actually work against NUFC because Spurs will want to 'win it for 'Arry'!
Already (yawn) commented on the 'neutral' bait!
from a fart, where did I wish injuries on anyone ? I just stated Best got injured, your lucks in cos it wasnt Ba or Cisse !
Clever Trevor, It's Ashley's stadium and he can call it what he likes. As a neutral, I think Sports Direct Arena has got a nice ring to it. Sports...Direct...Arena...rolls off the tongue. Can't see what the problem is. Just seen Cameron on the 'Redknapp jury Sent Home For the Night' page saying he hopes 'Arry gets sent down so it'll give Newcastle a better chance of getting something out of the Spurs game on Saturday. Terrible attitude but at least he's being honest.
Joseph is a biggot with no class
Joseph...What an absolute disgrace you are...and desperate it appears as well. Wishing injuries on players is the lowest of the low...even if it means thats the only way you scabs are going to catch us !!! SMB'S.
Just about sums NUFC luck, Best the dummy gets injured, not Ba or Cisse, no justice is there ?
It's St James Park yahoo....always will be...don't fall into Ashley's hands.
Horrible 2 footed lunge by Warnock. If the Toon had the luck of sunderland we'd have been playing 10 men and be a goal up. The game would have been a lot easier.
As for best, I wish him well..........Although he's shyte......(as Jonny would say).
As Joseph said caMORON, Warnock and Taylor was 50/50......
But this time the little animal Taylor came off worse.......He'll be back soon, he only broke a toe nail......
FOOL!!!!!!!!!!!
Are you thick, or what!!!!!!!!!!
red card all day should have gone, would have been a penalty if they had not scored!!!
Tell me then fool, why did Huth get sent off at the weekend for far less. You really are an embarrassment.
Warnock and Taylor was a 50/50 tackle, wasnt 2 footed at all !
Warnock should have walked for that tackle, there were sendings off on Saturday for tamer two footed tackles.
Unlucky for Best. With Cisse coming in he was going to be limiteed to playing time anyway. This injury further hampers any game time he would have have got.
