Gary Smith is not expected to make too many changes for his first league game in charge of Stevenage against Oldham.
Smith began his Boro reign against Notts County in the FA Cup nine days ago and named the same line-up he had watched come from behind to beat MK Dons in captain Mark Roberts' final game as caretaker player-manager.
The former Colorado Rapids boss will keep any changes to a minimum and could even name the same team after defeating the Magpies 1-0 in the fourth-round of the cup.
However, defender Phil Edwards, midfielders Stacy Long, Robin Shroot and Chuks Aneke as well as strikers Ben May, Don Cowan and Robert Sinclair are options for Smith should he wish to make any changes.
Stevenage saw their league game match at Notts County postponed on Saturday and will conduct a pitch inspection themselves at 10.30am on Tuesday morning to determine whether this game will go ahead.
Meanwhile, Boro have appointed Gary Phillips as the club's new goalkeeping coach. Phillips, a former assistant manager at the Lamex Stadium, has returned to take over from Ali Uzunhasanoglu who was appointed by former boss Graham Westley in the summer of 2008.
