Newcastle have received mixed injury news following Sunday's win over Aston Villa.
Ryan Taylor's leg injury has been limited to soft tissue damage for which he is now receiving treatment, but Leon Best is likely to be out for "a number of weeks" with his knee problem, according to the club.
Taylor was carried off on a stretcher after being caught by Stephen Warnock in the build up to Newcastle's opening goal, although X-rays yesterday revealed no break to his badly swollen ankle.
Best limped off after 14 minutes of the game at the Sports Direct Arena and will have a scan on his knee on Tuesday.
