Kevin Blackwell has admitted his first target as Sheffield United manager is to avoid relegation from the Championship to League One.Blackwell has yet to secure his first win since replacing Bryan Robson last month and United have slipped to 17th place, just five points above the drop zone.
Blackwell said: "The first target now must be 50 points and once we have reached that then we can push on from there and see where that takes us."
He added: "We have possibly looked beyond where we are and it is unfortunate the team hasn't performed in the way it was expected to at the start of the season.
"There are striking similarities to when Neil Warnock first took over at the Lane. I can recognise certain problems and I aim to move the club in the right direction."
