Stockport chief executive Mark Maguire believes the club is making progress on and off the field as they gear up for the promotion run-in.County currently reside in the play-off zone after a club record-equalling seven away wins.

Off the field, plans to help the club buy back Edgeley Park were unveiled this week.

Maguire told the Stockport Express: "It's incredibly exciting. There has been a lot of work going on behind the scenes over the last few months and a few things are now coming together at the same time.

"There is a real sense of excitement around the club."
