Barnet have had an approach for Luton striker Paul Furlong rejected as he is in the League One club's plans for the remainder of the season.Bees boss Paul Fairclough is desperate to sign a new striker and had an ambitious bid for Charlton forward Izale McLeod rebuffed last week.
A statement on Barnet's official website said: "Chairman Tony Kleanthous contacted the Hatters last week about the former Premier League striker and was told that he would get an answer this week.
"He has been told that Luton will not let the player go."
Furlong, 39, has been plagued by a niggling hamstring injury all season but has still managed to score eight times for the administration-saddled club.
