Grimsby Town striker Danny North is rated as a doubt for his side's clash with promotion hopefuls MK Dons at Blundell Park on Friday evening.North missed training earlier in the week due to a knee injury and is likely to undergo a late fitness test.

Peter Bore, who came off the bench to replace North in the midweek Johnstone's Paint Trophy Northern Area Final win over Morecambe, will step up if his team-mate fails to make it.

Midfielder Ciaran Toner remains sidelined with the ankle injury which has forced him to miss the last three matches, while Gary Jones is pushing for a return to the starting line-up.

Manager Alan Buckley has no other new injury or suspension problems, but could be tempted to rest a few of his players following their midweek heroics in reaching the final of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy at Wembley.
