Rotherham have confirmed that their notice of intention to appoint an administrator has been extended by a further 10 working days. The initial deadline for the cash-strapped League Two club passed earlier this week, but the Millers now have until mid-March to try and find new investment.
A brief statement on the club's official website read: "It can now be confirmed that the notice of intention to appoint an administrator has been extended for a further 10 working days from 3 March 2008."
Filing notice of intention to appoint an administrator gives the club a period of protection from its creditors while they bid to stave off administration and the mandatory 10-point deduction.
