Tranmere manager Ronnie Moore has told the Boundary Park boo-boys that Oldham would now be residing in League Two had it not been for him.Moore had a 15-month spell in charge of the Lancashire club prior to his to move to Tranmere in the summer of 2006.
He never found favour with the club's supporters and is expecting abuse when he takes his Tranmere side to Boundary Park this weekend for the League One promotion clash.
However, Moore said: "It will be vicious there but it's water off a duck's back and we kept Oldham up when we first got there for the final 10 games of the 2004-05 season.
"They could have been in League Two now if it hadn't been for us.
"The next season we finished 10th, which was the club's best league position in years."
