Hull have rejected reports that Jay-Jay Okocha is planning to retire at the end of the season.

Okocha hinted earlier this week in an interview he may call an end to his career at the end of the current campaign.

However, Tigers chairman Paul Duffen says that Okocha's comments were misinterpreted and that the fomer Bolton man said Hull would be his last club.

"I can absolutely confirm that what Jay-Jay meant was that Hull City would be his last club in the game. That was it," Duffen told the Yorkshire Post.

"While I am not prepared to discuss a player's contract as it is private matter, we fully expect Jay-Jay to be here next season.

"He is loving it, as anyone who saw how he played against Burnley could see for themselves."

Okocha's contract at The KC Stadium expires in the summer and Hull are expected to offer the Nigerian playmaker a lucrative extension.
