Charlton chief executive Peter Varney has announced that he will leave the club at the end of the season.
Varney will end a 10-year association with the club on June 30, citing personal reasons for his decision.
He told the club's website: "I am naturally sad to be leaving and I only hope the club will be back in the Premier League when I do so.
"I have enjoyed every minute of my time at the club and will look back with pride on some of the achievements made, in particular the development of The Valley into the modern stadium it is today."
Addicks chairman Richard Murray said: "He is without doubt the most impressive individual I have worked with throughout my business career."
"His passion, commitment and energy for this football club has been inspiring."
