Bristol Rovers first-team coach Paul Trollope believes his side's games in hand will see the club edge away from League One relegation danger. The Pirates are just four points and four places above the drop zone following the goalless home draw against Hartlepool, but have played three games less than many of the side's around them.
"We aren't safe from relegation yet, but no-one is panicking because we have games in hand and the ability to get to where we think we should be," said Trollope.
Hartlepool manager Danny Wilson criticised the playing surface at the Memorial Stadium following the game, and Trollope concurred with his views.
"The pitch has dried out and that makes it more difficult than ever," said Trollope. "Our next three fixtures are away, but I am happy about that because it will mean playing on surfaces that suit our style of play."
