Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson was left fuming after referee Paul Taylor awarded Wycombe a last-gasp penalty to hand them a 2-2 draw. The table-toppers had looked set to go three points clear at the top but were denied by Scott McGleish's 90th-minute penalty.
George Boyd was adjudged to have fouled McGleish in the area and Wycombe's top scorer converted from the spot for his 22nd goal of the season.
"It was a hectic finish to the game and I can only go on what my players say and they told me it wasn't a penalty," said Ferguson.
"The referee was very keen to give it, though.
"I have stated before that I want to go up as champions and we may have to win our last four games to do that now."
