Sun 06 Apr, 04:30 PM

Brentford manager Andy Scott watched his side surge up to ninth with a 2-1 win over Rotherham and was "generally pleased" with the performance. The Bees took a 39th-minute lead through Nathan Elder before Mark Hudson hauled the sides level three minutes from time.

Connell then netted the decisive goal at Millmoor but Robins remained upbeat despite defeat.

Scott said: "For the first 20 minutes it was a little bit scrappy but after that we totally dominated the first half and it was a great goal.

"We did not pass it as well in the second half but we still created a few good chances and scored a very good goal at the end.

"We showed we have a squad prepared to work very hard for each other and put everything into it."
