Shrewsbury manager Paul Simpson is now painfully aware of the massive task facing him after watching his side lose 4-1 at Chesterfield. The Spireites fired in three goals in the space of 12 minutes on their way to a comfortable win 4-1 over the Shrews.
Simpson admitted: "I knew it was going to be a tough job, but when I see those 11 minutes, it makes me realise just how tough it is.
"It was totally suicidal defending and we absolutely handed the game to Chesterfield.
"I said to the players at half-time that only ourselves would beat us because we had coped with everything they threw at us.
"But when you defend like we did in the second half, you haven't got a cat in hell's chance and we gifted the game to them."
