No sympathy from County boss

Sun 06 Apr, 03:30 PM

Notts County manager Ian McParland had no sympathy for his struggling team after they lost 2-1 at Gigg Lane against an in-form Bury side.Loan striker Danny Crow cancelled out Adam Rooney's first-half opener with a 71st minute equaliser for the Magpies.

But a late lapse in concentration allowed Glynn Hurst to poke home a late winner for the hosts.

"I don't feel sorry for them (the players)," said McParland.

"We worked hard to get back in the game, but to give away a goal so late is a sickener.

"It wasn't good enough. I thought we were going to get three points in the second half, but I was disgusted with the winning goal."
