Lietuvos Rytas came back from 14 points behind in the second half to beat Khimki 80-74 and win the Eurocup in Turin.
There were two key stages of the match when Rytas went on 8-0 and 17-0 runs which clawed them back into the contest when it looked like they were dead.
Russian side Khimki looked in charge at 62-49 late in the third quarter but that is when the Lithuanian side started their most devastating run.
Their 17 unanswered points saw them go 66-62 in front, and although a three from Carlos Delfino two minutes from the end levelled it at 71-71, the Vilnius based club quickly regained the momentum and stormed to victory.
Marijonas Petravicius led the winners with 20 points and was also named MVP of the match while Steponas Babrauskas had crucial career high 18 points.
Rytas's victory ensures them a place in the Euroleague for the 2009-10 regular season.

Wonderfull game! Amazing! Vilnius is celebrating tonight :)
One of the best final games ever, both teams deserved too win, but i'm glad that we got the win and showed that money isn't everything in basketball ( lietuvos rytas has 10 times smaller budget than khimki). Vilnius jega :)
