Chairman Huw Jenkins has hailed Swansea boss Roberto Martinez as one of the best managers around and believes he "is only going to get better".Martinez, 34, has led the Swans to the League One title during his first season in management and Jenkins believes the former Wigan midfielder can inspire his side to take the second tier by storm.
"We'll go into the Championship with not only one of the best managers in that division, but with one of the best at Premier League level as well," said Martinez.
"He is a young man who is growing and gaining experience all the time and he is only going to get better. He wants to do well at the next level, as we do, and we will do all we can now to make sure he gets the right tools to work with next year.
"We plan to be competitive in the Championship. We want to play attractive football because giving our supporters something to enjoy is important.
"And we want to show that we deserve to be there because we believe we should be playing at that level."
