Leeds are guaranteed to pocket a substantial cash windfall of £200,000 following Stoke's automatic promotion to the Premier League.United are due the money from the Potters as part of the deal that saw striker Richard Cresswell move to the Britannia Stadium last summer.

Leeds chairman Ken Bates told Yorkshire Radio: "I'm pleased for Stoke and I wish them well.

"When they took Richard Cresswell we were on a bonus if they got promotion, so we're delighted."
