Giro d'Italia - Valjavec named AG2R leader

AG2R La Mondiale have named Tadej Valjavec as their team leader for the Giro d'Italia, which starts on Saturday.
The French team, 10th in last year's Tour de France, are targeting a top 10 finish for the Slovenian rider.
Valjavec, who was ninth in 2004 and 13th last year, is joined in the AG2R squad by six Frenchmen Renaud Dion, Sebastien Hinault, Julien Loubet, Jean-Charles Senac, Blaise Sonnery, Ludovic Turpin plus Russian Alexander Efimkin and Yuriy Krivtsov of Ukraine.
