All Blacks fullback Mils Muliaina has re-signed with the New Zealand Rugby Union for another two years, joining a long procession of top players to commit themselves to the 2011 World Cup.

New Zealand officials said Muliaina turned down lucrative offers to play in Europe and the Waikato Chiefs captain said the lure of playing a World Cup on home soil was irresistible.

"I have a drive to be part of the dream to win a Rugby World Cup and that desire burns strongly," Muliaina said.

Muliaina's deal comes just a week after Ali Williams and Tony Woodcock pledged their futures to the All Blacks and follows the re-signing of key players including Richie McCaw, Rodney So'oialo, Keven Mealamu and Dan Carter.

"This signing also means we now have the core of a very experienced All Blacks side contracted for the coaches to work with," NZRU Chief Executive Steve Tew said.
