Plymouth manager Paul Sturrock is calling for fans to be realistic about their expectations for the Championship club next season.
Back in his second spell at Home Park, the 52-year-old Scot was disappointed to finish the season 21st in the 24-team league, just one place above the relegation zone.
Sturrock said: "We are a small fish in a big pond and what happens is that people come along and cherry pick our team. They`ve got the finance to do that.
"It means we are going to be a team which is restructured on a regular basis.
"It's a very difficult job restructuring football clubs and winning at the same time, especially in the Championship.
"I didn't know it was going to be as hard as it was last season but I realise now there are certain things that have to change and we will be better equipped for the challenge next season."

latest talk in scotland, Argyle manager for Aberdeen.
whats happening to the japanese investor? ...
we are realistic because we know whats coming......we cant score goals, we give the ball away, bad defending, motionless sturrock leaning on his post ,and a relegation dogfight........NOT GOOD ENOUGH !!!
we pay our money as season ticket holders to watch our beloved p.a.f.c do well, and we dont expect to witness what we saw last season.....to read and listen to whats being said in the local papers and around the ground does not give much hope for the survival in the championship for next season......yes we all want whats best for our club but we also expect to go forward and not as we have been.
so, new ideas please plymouth argyle f.c, and if it means a new younger manager so be it, and why stop there? sell the club, get in new investors and build a team that all true green army supporters can once again be proud of.
...............argyle till i die !!!
here here
next season we will finish around the same place maybe worse as we will not have Gallagher and Judge
bad times
