Gudjon Thordarson has blasted Stockport for "spending money they do not have" following his Crewe side's relegation from League One.
The Alex were sent down to the fourth tier on Saturday following a disappointing campaign, but there is widespread anger at Gresty Road following Stockport's decision to go into administration just two days before the season ended.
The league duly imposed a 10-point penalty on the Hatters, yet as they had already accrued 60, they ended up escaping the drop by two points and Thordarson is angry with the timing of their decision to call in the administrators.
"It is unfair because it looks as though Stockport have been spending money they do not have," he told the Crewe Chronicle.
"Now they they get someone else to pay their debts off. They have gone through the season doing that and those clubs that kept their finances in control are the ones penalised at the end of it.
"Crewe is a good club and they do things the right way. They have always had the right approach and for Stockport to go into administration on the eve of the final game, knowing that the points deduction won't really affect them, is not right."

Yes they were forced into administration, that is not the point. Its is the timing of the situation that has upset people. If Stockport had gone into administration after the final game the 10 point reduction would start next season. Because of this loophole Stockport has gone unpunished for spending what they dont have. The rules should be changed and if any club goes into administration then it should be automatic relegation.

It's a misrable situation , I hope it doesn't happen to Crewe or their fans. By the way, Iceland doesn't have much to shout about in terms of prudent financial dealings does it?
I think you will find that Stockport were forced to go into Administration by their debenture holders, while they were still working hard to find finance to pay off their debts. They had no desire to let down their creditors, their fans, or any other teams in the league.
